Install it yourself and save lots of money. I installed one at my house over two years ago. Works great wasn’t hard to do either. They give instructions with the unit. My thermostat was a 7day programmable and was around $50.00

It depends on how good of a thermostat you want. A really good one will run you prolly in excess of $100. I wouldn’t buy one of these el-cheapo models.
It needs to be installed by a Air Conditioning contractor. They will most likely charge you $75 for the trip out there, and then probably $65 an hour or so, with probably a one hour minimum. It shouldn’t take them over an hour to install it. Probably will be more like 30 minutes, depending….

Its so simple to install yourself. Why pay a service call and labor to have someone else do it. Takes about ten minutes to remove the old, put in the new. Many installers charge a minimum 1 hr for labor.
