Diabetes can be prevented by just having a physically active lifestyle. Just exercise everyday and avoid eating too much. Avoid sweets and high carb foods too.

You can disconnect that thermostat from the furnace and install another one in a hidden location.

If you get a digital one ( I have one), You can change the settings not to go above a certain temperature. Mine is set at 72.

You can easily adjust a thermostat. If you have a digital thermostat it can be set not to go above your desired temperature. I hate it when it's too hot in the house, it makes me feel lethargic ... good luck.

first... i'd check for pin holes and or leakes in the lines second you should adjust the dampers to close off air flow to rooms that really dont need as much cooling/heating also...there could be blockage in the high or low lines i would also have the compressor checked! since it is a roof top unit it takes a real heat beating and the compressor may need a hard start

Try checking the air filter.... There could possibly be a lot of dust accumulated on the lint catch....If that is the case, all you need to do is remove the filter, run it under water, cleaning the dust off the surface. After doing so replace it in the slot. Turn on the A/C... it SHOULD be blowing better.
Good Luck

I am assuming since it works well in the winter the air flow is ok. How did her friends know the freon was ok? The correct amount of freon is based on pressures in the system at a paticular temperature outside and humidity level inside. There is high side pressure and low side pressure, there is not really a level like oil on a dip stick. I don't know anything about Ca. , but I would call the BBB and find a honest dealer and have it checked, and as always keep the filters cleaned. Good luck.
